About Lila

Hi! My name is Lila. If you’ve looked over the website, you’ll notice that this website is about extending the World Taekwondo’s (WT) efforts by being a cultural ambassador, where I create certificates tailored to the country’s culture.

Despite the heavy influence of my grandfather, the President of the World Taekwondo, I was never really fond of the actual sport, and although my parents had forced me to attend the lessons, as a child I was intimidated by the shouting environment and the unnerving teacher.

However, even though I quit the sport, it would always follow me: whether it was news about my grandpa leaving for another country to expand Taekwondo outreach programs for refugees across the Middle East. Taekwondo was always present in the background of my life.

My mom would often tell me about the news articles my grandpa appeared in, and I would soon then start cutting up pieces of newspaper with him featured in it, proud that the president of World Taekwondo, Choue Chung-won was my grandfather.

Realizing this, I wanted to continue his legacy that I dropped in my early years and do so by helping with his mission in my own unique way. I decided to bridge the gap between Taekwondo and culture, two elements that had been an integral part of my life.

I’m Lila

Welcome to Taekwondo Together, where I will share all of my insights about Taekwondo! Beyond being a practitioner, I’ve embraced the role of a cultural ambassador for Taekwondo. With a profound respect and understanding for this martial art, I’m on a mission to bridge cultures and connect communities through the shared language of Taekwondo.

Let’s connect!
